Woke up at about 1245pm? Haha and lunched alone @ JP again.

Bid for “Bahasa Indonesia” module as I wanna learn up this language so as to communicate better with the beautiful people in Indonesia.

Hopefully I’ll be able to go Medan again with Sofi this December! :)

It’s a country close to my heart. :)

We re-learnt our CPR techniques on Friday. It was a really good refresh. In the picture above you can see the instructor holding a little machine.

That machine shows the pressure we asserted on the chest and the amount of air we blow into the dummy’s mouth. It also records every action we take and can be printed out. I find it quite amusing that it can even indicate if any rib is broken in the process of thrusting the chest!

So we couldn’t bluff our way through. =P
Glad I passed it on the first attempt hoho. Hope I wouldn’t have to do it on anyone… :)

Chilled out at Esplanade library alone after CPR… Enjoyed every minute of it reading Jakarta Post and listening to some cello music.

And I made a new discovery!
Anyone can now borrow a maximum of 2 CDs even without membership! It’s really great news. :)

Refreshment after rehearsal~ =P

Had orchestra rehearsal earlier.
Initially I was a little disappointed by the attendance, there were barely 10 of us. Talk about commitment…

I felt bad because half of them were new and not from our church. Plus if the conductor even squeezes time out of his schedule, why can’t we? Of course with the exception of valid reasons.

(By the way, if you do not know, our conductor is a cellist from Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and he is conducting us out of his own freewill. He’s the best conductor I’ve come across. He also happens to be my cello teacher’s uncle. Hoho.)

There were only 5 string players. 3 violinists, 1 violist and 1 cellist. So I felt stretched to play well and not to rely on other cellists, which was good. :)

After a while into playing, I felt better :) and enjoyed the rehearsal dearly. It was a very homely and cosy feeling. :)
My happiest day after I came back to Singapore!!!

It’s great to be surrounded by people who share the same passion and to be making music together. :)

 

I dunno why, but I’m in love more and more with Charles my cello hehehehehe. It’s such a beautiful instrument! :)
